Blanca started her career 16 years ago. She flew as an airline captain on Boeing 737, was instructor on Boeing 767 and flew mixed-fleet transatlantic and medium haul flights. In her spare time, she instructed student pilots in aeroclubs and flight schools.
She started as dispatcher, soon became part of the management and was closely involved in the start-up of now one of the most performant Belgian airlines. As deputy director of flight operations, she was responsible for the lease-in and acceptance of aircraft during the summer season where she gained a lot of technical knowledge in close coordination with the technical engineers.
She worked for several years as project manager for the top management of the TUI Travel Plc Group, being the biggest European tourism group, so she obtained an enormous operational knowledge of airlines.
Since 1998, Blanca has handled many different claims. She is experienced in cargo claims, responsibility claims property and aviation interventions.
After several trainings and master classes in transport and heavy lifting, she uses her aviation knowledge on safety and procedural operation to lead the prevention division. Prevention assignments and especially warranty surveys need a hands-on approach and a lot of management skills to assure all parties involved cooperate to the fullest and make the project safe and successful. This needlessly fits her previous job as an airline captain, where safety, decision-making and firmness are some of the key factors. Next to the on the job interventions, she is frequently asked for consulting assignments to analyse, review and adapt existing procedures or processes all with the intention to prevent losses to the fullest.
Surveying activities and prevention assignments are performed worldwide.
She is fluent in Dutch, French, English, German, Spanish and has a good working knowledge of Portuguese.
Peter is a mechanical engineer who started his career in the process industry, whereafter he became a technical superintendent at Jan De Nul, one of the world’s leading dredging companies, where he was technical superintendent and maintenance responsible for several major projects around the globe. The expansion project of the Panama canal, the artificial island constructions at Dubai, a LNG project in Papua New Guinea and the development, construction and maintenance of an incinerator in Romania all made him gain an enormous amount of technical and practical experience ranging from quality and safety preventive measures through solving heavy lifting problems.
He further expands his knowledge for a leading multinational in the oil and gas industry by two certifications. An APICS Certification in Planning and Inventory Management and an ASQ Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt certification with milion dollars savings projects. Peter assisted to the transformation of this multinational to become « The worlds best run company« .
Peter assists ASA France in prevention and high level project cargo questions where all his operational knowhow is used to ensure the most suitable technical and safe approach. He also assist customers with a need for specific improvement needs in company culture, production and planning.
Peter is fluent in French, English and Dutch.
Hubert has an unlimited Master Marine certificate obtained after 5 years at the French National Maritime School in Le Havre and more than 20 years at sea. He sailed on various types of cargo, oil and chemical tankers, VLCC, and passenger carriers. With the double certification, engine and deck, he has an extended knowledge in mechanical engineering as well as navigation. As Captain, he sailed on tanker and bunker vessels.
Hubert is fluent in French and English
After a first experience within Bolloré Logistic Group as Sea Freight Forwarding agent, Julien integrates the CMA CGM group as a stowage and vessel planner, where after, as a Group Operations Manager for Hazardous Goods, he gains an extensive knowledge within the container industry and breakbulk cargo.
Julien is fluent in French and English.
Renata has more than 18 years of experience in cargo handling management with focus on Sea Freight, Road transport and Projects Logistic and an extensive technical knowledge in these areas.
She was leading high-performance teams, focussed on Continuous Improvement of processes, and worked for Carriers and Freight Forwarders.
Graduated as “Speditionsbetriebslehre und Logistik” in the German technical school Humboldt and Master of Business Administration for Strategic Business Management at FGV – Sao Paulo.
Renata is fluent in English and Portuguese and has good knowledge of German, Spanish and French.
Elie is a civil engineer who obtained a Master of Science in aerospace engineering in the department of Control and Operations at Delft University, the leading University in the aerospace industry.
At first, Elie was responsible for the quality management process with suppliers and vehicle dynamics testing at BMW in Munich.
Thereafter he developed and implemented an aircraft operational availability KPI for Airbus at Toulouse and was responsible for the reliability of all maintenance activities at a major airliner.
Elie has gained an extensive technical expertise in the emerging UAV market, as being a flight test, production and quality engineer for one of the market leading companies. He implemented several quality systems and test flying for drones.
Furthermore, Elie was closely involved in the testing and translation of eXcat Geo-information software for the Dutch National Aerospace Laboratory.
He has a profound knowledge of non-destructive testing, maintenance engineering & management and safety in transportation. He participated in the reliability interest group meeting of the air transport association (ATA), was a member of the Belgian League for glider pilots and responsible for the technical organization of the maintenance for the glider fleet in the Netherlands.
Elie followed a master course in aerospace law, is fluent in Dutch, English, German and French.
As an engineer, Elie handles marine and aviation claims, from complex machinery breakdown to cargo care, from helicopters to drones.
Martin obtained his master degree in nautical science at the renowned Maritime Academy in Antwerp. He started his career as Junior Officer and quickly became the youngest master ocean navigation in the Belgian marine industry. Through managing vessels for various cargo types, such as container transport, dry and liquid bulk, gas and general cargo, he built an enormous technical and operational knowledge in the marine industry.
He is active as principal surveyor since 1982 and followed multiple complementary courses such as LNG training. Martin is an active full member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying and member of the committee of the Gent Maritime Club. He also lectured stevedoring manipulations at several seminars.
With more than 30 years of surveying experience, he is a true well of knowledge.
He handles all marine claims from hull over perishable products to civil responsibility.
Martin is fluent in Dutch, English, French and German.
